How it works

Before sessions with Takeaway Teacher, we would have a free, no obligation, meeting either face to face or over video call where you will be able to explain exactly what support or extension your child needs. Even better, your child will be able to share their hopes themselves. 

In order for me to best prepare to teach and support your child, it would be beneficial to understand which Maths and English syllabus they are used to learning from (or any other subject), and at which point in their learning they are at in school. We would then tailor each session to focus on either specific development points, or offer a broader approach across the subject(s).  I also offer reading sessions to support a love of reading and to enable deeper understanding of text. 

If you wish to go ahead with tutoring sessions, we would then discuss a plan for the length and frequency of sessions. Our agreement can be on a session by session basis or as a block booking. 

Further to individual tutoring, I will also be regularly uploading subject resources and activity ideas for Early Years, KS1 and KS2 on this website, Instagram and Facebook.
